Mizoram Calendar (the "App") is developed by Lalsangpuia Ralte to deliver an offline-first experience for viewing curated public, cultural, and religious events in Mizoram. We respect your privacy and design the App to avoid collecting personally identifiable information (PII) unless explicitly required to deliver a feature you request.
2. Information We Collect
Personal data: The App does not request or store names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other direct identifiers.
Usage data: We do not run in-app analytics. Limited diagnostic information may be gathered by third-party SDKs described below to ensure core functionality (for example, push notifications or ads).
Device data: When ads or push notifications are enabled, the relevant service providers may process device identifiers (such as the Android advertising ID or push token), IP address, coarse location derived from IP, and interaction data needed to deliver and optimize their services.
3. Local Data Storage
The App ships with a pre-populated Room database that stores holiday and event information. This content is read-only, stored entirely on your device, and never transmitted off the device by the App. You may clear the App's local storage at any time through your Android system settings.
4. Third-Party Services and Libraries
The App integrates third-party SDKs and libraries to deliver essential functionality. These providers operate under their own privacy terms:
Google Play Services (including Google Play Core libraries)
Purpose: In-app updates, dependency support, and background tasks.
Data handling: May collect device and app performance data as described in Google's policies.
Data handling: Collects device identifiers, coarse location, and engagement metrics to serve and personalize ads subject to your Android advertising settings.
The App is not directed to children under 13 years of age and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Because the App does not store personal data on our servers, there is no remote retention window. Event listings remain on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its storage. Data handled by third-party providers follows their respective retention policies.
7. Security Measures
We apply industry-standard security practices during development, including regular dependency updates, minimizing network calls, and using Play Store distribution safeguards. Nonetheless, no mobile application can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Choices
Advertising preferences: You can reset or disable the Android advertising ID from your device settings, which affects ad personalization.
Notifications: Manage push notification permissions through the Android system notification settings for the App.
Data removal: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App or legal requirements. Updates will be published in the App bundle or repository with an updated "Last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted in release notes where possible.
